About Hamish Forsyth

Co-Founder of OneLeap, Hamish is an experienced global strategist. Prior to OneLeap, he was a Senior Adviser in the UK Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit. Before this, Hamish led a team as part of New Zealand’s delegation that negotiated the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, and was briefly posted to the Embassy in Beijing. He also performed key policy and negotiation roles as part of the trade in services negotiations at the WTO, Geneva. Hamish also founded a Human Rights non-profit project that promoted human rights law.

Hamish has advised on public communications and strategy and his work in this field has ranged from guest lectures to the UK Defence Academy and Cambridge University, to creative strategy for a Fortune 500 Company. A Cambridge Gates Scholar, he holds an MBA with distinction, graduated first in his undergraduate law degree, and also holds a degree in Philosophy (Otago). Hamish has also taught constitutional law, clerked for a Justice of New Zealand's highest court, and has debated around the world.
