About Damien Scott

I currently work for Williams F1 where I am General Manager of the Williams Technology Centre in Qatar. The WTC was conceived by Williams F1 to develop and commercialise technologies that have their origins in Formula One. The WTC will initially focus on two projects: the development of large Magnetic Loaded Composite (MLC) electromechanical flywheel energy storage systems and advanced vehicle simulators. The WTC is housed in the amazing Qatar Science & Technology Park.

Outside of my day job I am a founding Trustee of Mothers for All, a Southern African AIDS charity as well as a founder and non-executive director of social enterprise startup oneleap.to

I received read physics and psychology at the University of Sydney. The subject of my thesis was the performance of large scale linear fresnel concentrating solar thermal systems.
